I finally got to break in my Revo, weather was great. On tank 1 my temperature was around 220F, no problems. Tank 2 the same. Beginning on Tank 3, I had temp reaching 270 and the vehicle trying to accelerate by itself on idle. On Tank 4 the Temp went up to 310, so I stopped the vehicle and adjusted the high speed. Tank 5 a little richer was at 260 but same problem on the idle, but a little less.

Is this normal? Temp was around 65F.

yup! thats very normal its just the piston/sleeve fitting together better just adjust your idle a ittle
EDIT:IGNORE ME... i totally misread what you said sorry!

Re-check your linkages and carb setting. I have noticed the carb drift slightly at idle (vibration) and I had to re-set the collars on my linkage to take up the slack.

Regardless whether it's new or used, I'd suggest setting the carb to stock settings, then go 1/4 rich on the HSN. Then you know your rich. To me, it sounds like your kind of lean.

I've never had an engine (even traxxas) get to 220 by tank 2, let alone over 220. Except for one that I didn't reset (or even check) the needles to factory settings before starting break-in. Turned out my HSN was 1 full turn lean and the LSN was screwed all the way in. This was a brand new out of the box engine.
