Anybody have a trick for changing brake pads on a savage 25 without disassembling half the truck?

just take out the rear bulkhead assembly and remove the engine plate.

ya unfortunately, you have to split the truck in half to do the brakes, it sucks.
Well, you have to take out a few bolts, but you don't have to take a TVP off either side.
Really though, 2 screws for the bottom of the shocks on the front of the rear arms (to get at the TVP upper bolts), 4 bolts for the rear pod, 4 bolts for the engine plate braces to the TVP's and two to the trans case and your done. 12 bolts and you have the rear off.
Takes about 10 minutes (5 if you have a drill and screw bit).
