whats up everyone.
I just picked up a brand-new savage 25 (factory sealed) from my LHS.
I read the manual and did everything i needed to do before the break-in, including adding a little bit of after run oil before I even tried to turn it over.

After the first tank, a few things started to go weird.

1): when I hit the brakes, the engine just dies and it makes a clicking sound.

2): when I turn right, it gives the engine gas, which can be dangerous.
the left seems to give a little gas but not as much as turning right.

Any ideas what the problems could be?

1) You shoud try to ajust the throttle stop screw so the throttle doesn't close all the way when you hit the brakes.

2) There should be a little switch on your transmiter. There shoud be two, one will say throttle and the other will say steering. You should switch the swiches.

I was thinking of the wrong thing for number two. If your throttle is controling your steering and your steering is controlling your throttle then where your servos plug into the reiciever your servos plugs are not in the right spot. Try swiching around your steering and servo plugs in.

#1 sounds like that could be it. I will check that out thanks.

about #2, the throttle/brake triggers works fine when I give it gas, it just gives itself gas when I turn to the right as well, I don't think the wiring is reversed or anything on the remote, as the brake/throttle trigger work correctly.

Mine used to do that, never dd find out what the problem was. I picked up a XS3 Pro and that seemed to fix the problem. :)

i set the idle adjustment and put in a fresh pair of batteries and all my problems went away :P
