are savages supposed to have good breaks or is it normale that they dont stop that well

The brake is adjustable. I had mine so tight once that it flipped onto its lid when I used them.

ya but when i adjust them either its too much drag and doesn t brake wqhen i hi tthe brakes or it doesn t brake at all

so are the savage brakes just poop or what , should they be upgraded upon getting the savage, any ideas, cause the linkage doesn't do anything besides adding drag at neutral position

Forgot to mention that I have the HPI double disk brake setup installed.

I use the stock single disc, they work great when set properly. I can get them too tight also and do forward flips.

Are you adjusting linkage or using the trim on the radio?

What servo are you using?

stock servo , and tried to adjust th ebrake linkage but apparrently you can adjust the arm at the end of the linkage and it is suppossed to do something? moving it higher or lower

we tried the adjustmenst and nothing it would just create drag and not brake more, the trim didnt do anything , are these brakes just crap , its a brand new savage x

I used a longer piece of tubing between the adjustment cap and linkage arm.
I'm not sure how much difference there is, but mine is a Savage 25. Stock servo. You can see it in the bottom of this picture.

problem solved , this piece of tubing worked wonders , the brakes finally work

finally they dont work, it seems like th eservo isnt pushing it back far enough, if i do it manually it will brake but it only moves like half way so it really doesn't brake all that much

nicholas,
Did you get your brakes sorted - I have the same problem with my savage x - has caused be a few near misses!
