So after starting up my truck and doing some speed runs my brakes stop engaging and seems like the linkage is messed up... I took some pics,

is it suppose to go that far in to engage?
any help is appreciated, thanks.

ah I'm missing thelittle gold thing that goes in the gear box hole, anyone know what its called?

Check your whole brake system. Like said, a brake screw may have come loose. This does need to be fixed if so. You can use epoxy to hold the screw in place if the whole is stripped. You may have snapped a brake disk in half which allowed the space for the piston to pop out. Just some ideas.

Leave the engine attached to the engine mount and plate. Pull the rear end off the truck and the engine mount plate from the TVP's. You'll be able to access your brakes, look at your manual for proper installtion. Something is def. missing or broken.

yeah i got it, the brake piston was missing, brake screws were a bit loose, just took out a tvp and the gearbox. thanks! I was thinkin of getting a reverse module now that its all opened up, but the installation for a 2 ch module is confusing (just looked at the manual online).

Are you looking at the installation with the reverse mixer? I believe it plugs into the channel 2 (Throttle Channel) then you plug in both the reverse module servo and the throttle servo into the mixer.

yeh but what does the second servo connect to? like its linkage? an image could help if you had any.

This is the closest picture I could find.

The servo is actually installed in the middle of the radio box. It's on the side because the guy (Grumpy1822 on HPISavageForum) was doing a mid-tank mod.
You can see the servo is connected to a linkage that will move the gear selector tab in and out for reverse.

oh i see, i may go to my lhs to pick one up, is everything for the linkage in the package? thanks!

I believe so. It should come with everything needed. Not sure if it comes with a servo though, but any servo will do. A standard servo will do fine, no need for a high speed or torque servo.

actually I'm still confused about one thing! the middle of my servo box has a hole in the middle, but the bottom is covered??

It should be a plastic cover that will pop off. Look for some latches or anything. I forgot how I was able to get mine off. You may just need to push it off.
