Today I bought a Revo body, made by Traxxas, that was one of the ones that is partially colored. I was going to buy the total clear one but I changed my mind to make painting easier.

Anyone ever buy one of these partially done ones, even for a T-Maxx? Any tips? I plan to rattle can spray the inside with a wild metallic. Ever notice how they apply the partial color to the outside?

What partial color do they apply to the outside of the body?

All the graphics/color should be on the inside.

Not a bad idea.

Yeah dont know how much you know about it, but just make sure you use a paint that is lexan safe, otherwise it could melt your body.

The body has the stripe graphics that are on the RTR Revo bodies. They appear to be either molded in (doubt it) or painted on the outside. They definitely are not painted on the inside.

I bought Paasche RC paints to paint this. They are Lexan and engine/fuel safe.

Thanks for all the comments and tips. I plan to paint this weekend. Maybe I will post a pic.
