I just got it tonight. I placed the order Tuesday morning with Tower and had them ship it Fed Ex 2nd day air. Anyway, it either arrived late yesterday or sometime today, I had left a not to Fed Ex on my door to leave the package at the rental office and they failed to leave a message that it arrived. I ordered the MT with all the trimmings, batteries, charger, radio, speed control, etc... It all came in a package that came with everything you needed to get the MT running except time.

I was not able to open my packages until I got home from work this evening but when I did I noticed one thing that was supposed to be there that they forgot, the RS-4 MT was not in either of the boxes. I checked the packing list and it was on the packing list but was not contained in either of the 2 boxes.

I called Tower and asked what the deal was. I was told that they were temporarily out of stock and if I really wanted an RC for the weekend they could maybe send something else, yeah right. I ordered an RS-4 MT because I wanted one, not something else. I was kinda ticked off when they said my money for the rs-4 had not been refunded to my CC but changed to store credit. I remembered seeing an RS-4 MT in my lhs last week so I told Tower I would see if my lhs still had it and if they did I wanted my money totally refunded for the Rs-4 portion of my cc charge.

Bless Hobbytown USA, they still had the RS4 MT in stock so I bought it, actually it was the same body style as the one I was trying to get from Tower. Unfortunately committments of nbeeding to be at work tomorrow bright eye'd and bushy tailed prevented me from staying up all night and putting it together. However after my early morning tomorrow I will have the time later in the morning in the cushy part of my job tomorrow to put it together during work.

Anyway, hopefully tomorrow night I'll have pics of it all assembled if not it'll be before Sky and I go bash on Sunday when I have the pics, also will take some bashing pics of my rs-4 too.

Did they refund you?

Hay, I though you were shipping out a long time ago, but you keep posting. Its like Tupak. He passed on a long time ago, but yet he still makes records.

Congrats on the new ride. can't wait to see the pics.

Good that it has a semi happy ending will be happy when they refund your money to CC have fun send us photos of what ya broke

Just think the longer it take you to put it together the longer you have before you brake it.

Savor the moment.

Any bets on how long it takes? =devil

Just some tips....

You planning on running it on asphalt or offroad? The stock tires tend to loose their grip in tigh turns on alphalt becaue of weight distribution. It will tend to spin out. (depends on how good a driver you are I guess) I consider myself an OK driver but I still have trouble keeping in the groove. I mounted a pair of Proline Dirt Hawgs II and I dont have that problem any more (but I usually run off road. )

You'll have much better response by keeping a bit of slack on your drive belts. Especially the larger one that drives the front wheels.

What type of motor you putting in it? Stock 27 turn or a modified?

Lastly, there are no bumpers and because of where the shocks mount to the lower control arms the lower ball sockets and shock shafts tend to break real easy. I upgraded all mine to the aluminum Purple Anodized from HPI and they seem to stand up to a lil bit more abuse but they still break real easy.

Good luck with it man.

I promised Sky I would not break it before Sunday at least.

i`d say in the rush to set it up he will break it in a rage and not be able to get the parts needed to repair it:hehe:

hell order the parts, but they will send him a letter saying that they are out of stock.

I got the one with the dodge ram. Personally anything would look better than that FUGLY bug body. I may see what my lhs has this coming week for another body.

I did finally get everything needed to get it running a few minutes ago so I will have to test it out tomorrow, maybe in a little while since it'll be hard to tick my neighbors off since it's electric but who knows.

Hopefully I'll take pics tomorrow as well as finish the bodies it came with. We'll see. Sky and I are planning on bashing on Sunday, maybe he'll break his brand new savage he bought this afternoon as well, maybe not.

If you do go out and play with it, DON"T FREAKIN' BREAK IT!

Or this Sunday will be a rather boring one man show.

Too late, I already did, just kidding. I am now going to try getting my Savage running. I am also going to buy a few more batteries for my RS4 because it seemed pretty lame running through the parking lot as well as a bigger pinion gear.
