Its great stuff.
Just pour it in and your set till you drain it and fill it up again.
Depending on your stock water, but it did raise my alkaline level at first. Nothing bad, just needed to use a little Spa down to bring it where it needed to be. Pour it in after the shock an hour or so later, let her rip full blast for an hour and check it.

I'm not sure why but this time was the easiest time I ever had filling mine up. They must have changed our water processing here.

I filled it up, heated it, put a pack of shock in and let it run for an hour, poured in the buffer and let it run for an hour, then added some down and let it run for an hour and was ready to party. Once everything was good, I filled the R2D2 with bromine tabs to keep the bromine up.

I found it helpful once it was close is to only add half of the amount of chemicals that say to add. Its easier to add more then to try to fix it once you added to much. Dont sit there an watch the pot boil with a test strip in your hand. Its hard no to do it but its frustrating. After the setup, one chemical at a time, hang for an hour with it filtering or running then test it. Once you get used to it, you will only test once a week. Its to the point that I can smell when it needs more bromine and can see by the foam or water color if the alkaline needs to be adjusted.

You must be getting excited. Tomorrow is the big day isn't it?

Thanks for the info my friend. I am sure I will get used to it... like you said, it just takes some time.

Man, the anticipation is killing me! LOL I am as excited as the day I got my first RC! We should have the tub in place by lunch time tomorrow. I will post some pics once it is in. The hard part is just being patient and not jumping right in!

congrats on the new tubb,I have had a tubb for the last 14 years we are on are second one doctors orders...I have to sit and soak or I can not walk the next day...no matter how crappy the day was a glass of wine and a soak looking at the yard lets me relax and say life is good, you will enjoy it alot ...we use bromean tabs in ours and they seem to work well..

I've never owned one, but when i lived in Cali our apt complex had 2. My wife and I used one of them every day. Its just so relaxing! Enjoy buddy!

Thanks Guys.... It was delivered on Friday afternoon! Woo Hoo! It almost didn't happen though. The electrician showed up to finish running the cable and connecting everything to the breaker panel, then left saying that the hottub folks would take care of hooking up the tub. Wrong! They sent 4 guys that unloaded the tub and left. Nice enough guys don't get me wrong, but I thought there was more to it. Anywho, I got on the phone and called the electrician who came back to finish the hookup. The tub is amazing! We were able to use it by last night and it felt great! My wife an I even broke a cardinal rule... I will just leave it at that! LOL Anyway here is a few pics of the new tub, as well as the new deck my father and I just built.. all we are missing is the handrail which should be in this weekend coming. Thanks for all the advice and help guys.

Tom

As a matter of fact that is a CD player on the side, along with AM/FM, and a port to hook up my IPod.

Just bought a Red Cedar Gazebo for the tub.... It has to be assembled, but at least we will have some shelter, and privacy for the tub. Just thought I would share.

Very nice.

Great job on the deck as well.

Thanks Robmob!

It has taken us 4 weeks to get that far! LOL Well just working on the weekends anyway. Just some handrail on the steps to go and we will be done. Then the landscaping begins! The wife told me that she would handle that though. I gladly turned that one over to her. LOL

I have a 55 gallon drum with an old Johnson 40 outboard motor clamped to the rim. As long as I stay clear of the prop, it sure is soothing.

Just don't ask him how he heats it up.....
