It wastes $30, it causes an air leak, and it hurts performance, that's what they do. They are eye candy at best, don't waste your money.
 
I'm with nitro on this. its like the "NOS" thing. its just eye candy dead weight and a power robber. plus you have to drill a hole in you mill for it to work.
 
It's supposed to increase midrange. About 4 years ago, it was all the rage in the .21 class engines. Personally, I've tried 'em, and don't like 'em. They make for another air leak to chase down, and make tuning the engine just that much more difficult.
