I just know that the 2.5 that came in mine only stayed in it for about 2 weeks before I was fed up with it. Wouldn't hold a tune, had absolutly no power, overheated regardless of needle settings... I say piss on it. Maybe I just had a lemon, but if that was the first engine I had bought, I don't know that I would have kept up with the hobby.

In response to the original question lets first establish that you arent running in any conditions that would be really taxing on the engine, you aren't running in like 3 foot grass or something.

Where are you driving it that you get these conditions?

thanks, everyone. To let all know,I brought it in the shop and found that the piston was runing up to high in the sleeve, with very little effort. Conclusion is a bad piston/sleeve,which I just replaced.Time for break-in. Thanks again all!!!
