Here's a weird one for you. Have any of you ever thought of using colored or black bed liner on your body, either with your paint scheme or on the entire truck body? I was thinking that this could look kinda cool and it would give it quite a bit of added strength. Only drawback that I can see is the weight.

I know that duplicolor makes bedliner in a spray can.

Maybe on a scaler or truck lid along the bottom as a rock chip protector/style but the whole thing especially on the inside would be retarded lol

Hi I am new but that might be kinda cool. I dont think it would be to expensive to give it a try.:D

Yeah, I was thinking of putting it on the bed of the bronco body and maybe on the roof.

Actually, I have used the Rustoleum spray beliner on a wide variety of applications. Its good stuff--very durable. I'm not a fan of the Duplicolor version--it doesn't lay down nearly as clean and tends to fade. I personally wouldnt spray it on the underside---and spray it directly on top of the body.

watch out for holding in more heat . making the body alot thincker might create heat problems. not sure but something to think about.

Yeah, actually your right about the heat issue, never thought of that!! Just thinking of things that would be origanal/look cool/add strength.

Thanks for that.

Hey, I tried this bed liner paint idea......dont even try to do something like this.....I dont know what the hell I was thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!Now the bronco body is totally ruined:doh:

I scoured the outside of the body, where I wanted to spray and I also had some paint to spray on, masked it off and sprayed and it made a huge freakin mess. Now I am back to the old stock body.

Oh well, good reason to go and pick up a new body.

Send a pic i want to see what it looks like. Lol

Too late, got pissed off, wrecked it and tossed it, it got torn on the rear body mount hole when I was sanding it down anyways.

Trust me when I tell you though, it wasn't a pretty site.
