is anyone else having problems with their blitz? My friend only has about 2 hrs run time on his and has already broke both rear arms(rear the hinge pin goes through) 2 wheels bearing feel apart, and the drive cups are so worn it is not funny...and also all 4 shock still leak like a sive...He called HPi and they are giving him the run around about WARRANTY, he took pics and everything to send them....are alot of people having that many problems?

Can you post the pics of it so we can get a better look?

Was he driving on a track, in a back yard, or in a skate park? I just don't see anything having that much trouble in 2hrs unless the driver skill is lacking or the intent was to destroy it (basher). I suppose it could be a lemon, but it's doubtful...

What were the air temps where he ran?

We were running @ our track here in Sheboygan, I was running right with him with my SC10,, I can ask him for the pics, and the air temps were just around 45-50* out the only problem with posting damaged part pics is that other people tend to use them themselves and take advantage of the system for warranty..I know he is still dealing with HPi trying to get new parts, I will see him tomm..

yeah, I'm curious too...

Been seeing a few guys at the track ripping these Blitz's hard and they seem to have no problems at all.
On the other hand, yesterday there was a guy who snapped his SC10 chassis in half in a mild wall crash and it was only minutes out of the box! Guess anything can happen if you crash in just the right manner...
I will say that after seeing some of these RTR's right out of the box, it's not a bad ideal to go through and just do a quick torque check on most of the bolts/screws! My SC10 had a few loose.

i just finished going thru my 3 day old blitz. set front camber/toe, servo saver, spur settings, front hub adjustment for steering geometry and wheelbase. besides the use of lipo its all stock-for now. ran a pack to test the settings and couldnt be happier.

thats odd. he must be beating the crap out of it. mine has ~3-4 hrs of runtime on it and its still like brand new. I've taken it down stairs at speed, ran it into my house a few times, and had it covered in snow. its even brushless now, and still i havent broken anything, just beat up the body. the worst thing about it was the stock motor/esc combo, it ate batteries like nothing.

All brands have thier week points, and everything on them will show wear if you beat them hard enough.

i ran an ran mine and havent had any thing break 3 months now.....what were you jumping....

Out of all this time that I've been involved in SC trucks by now I have never come across any of these issues with the HPI Blitz anywhere else. I have no clue what your buddy was doing to his to abuse it so badly.
Only real downfall they seem to have is leaking diffs out of the box, which is solved now.
