blown clutch

just got this high stall traxxas clutch when i bought my 33. two gallons ago.should a clutch wear out that fast? i haven't took it apart yet but i know its the clutch.it has a grinding noise trying to start it and,itll start with tires off the ground/and whats good after market clutch besides the stock one.oh yeah its a 2.5 with 3.3 on it

As a racer the clutch is a regular maintenance item for me, i replace the bell bearings every race weekend and i always make sure that the shoes and springs are in good condition before putting it back in.

Also from a racer side of things, 2 gallons is alot lol, thats probably around the time that i would be deciding that my shoes need to be replaced anyway, even if they still look ok.

But again, all of that is from a racer, and only a racer, so you might want to wait for some more people to post up and see what they have to say lol
