Ok well i got some Pro-Line Big Joes tires and Tech 5 wheels for my savage, but it seems the tires are too close to the shocks now...I'm still using the 17mm hex adapters that came stock with my Savage x 4.6. Am I supposed to change that adapter or get another type of hubs or something?

well I'll need new wheels and already glue the tires so, how can I remove them?

i think the expensive way is to get the savage xl axles set i think it comes with dog bones, not sure.if you want to keep the big joes.

All Savages use the same length dogbones (123mm), and while the Savage XL uses a "heavy duty" dogbone - part number 865346, you can extend the wheelbase with the stock dogbones (until they break).

To extend your wheelbase there's HPI part number 86249 - SUPER HEAVY DUTY WIDE AXLE 8x11x59mm

You can also use some wheelbase extenders like Alien mentioned (just be sure to get the right hubsize). These come in several lengths too.

Heck, you could probably combine the two and extend your Savage's width by up to four inches.

One way to get the tires off is to cut or trim them off the rim-could lose lots of tire thou, another is to buy acid-tone/leave them soak for a day the glue is removed but also lose the tire foam which means new foams. I run those same tires on Axial bead lock rims (17mm) and didn't have to worry about tires hitting shocks, on the Savage XL and on the other Savage SS that I sold. I even ran them with the new HPI aluminum big bore stocks.
