  1. Bashing
Hey guys I have a sav x stock f4.6 motor. Anyway I run 20% fuel and was wondering can I run 10% I've only had bout a gallon through id stick with 20% but here in ny its. 43$!! Also is there a. Biggg performance difference? Going with 10% would save big bucks

I personally think 10 % would really slow your truck down.. lets just say... it would drive.... lol i mean i personally noticed at my local hobby shop

20-25 % seems to be the most expensive. and 30 % seems to be a few bucks cheaper.

For instance trinity monster 20% is about the same price as you 42 43 bucks or so out the door. 30% how ever i believe is 35 dollars i think. Not sure why but its slightly cheaper there but for some reason they always argue with me when i try to buy it. They always just say * ehh your engine is gonna not last just get 20 % * and i just put it back purely so i dont have to argue. but I'm not gonna shop there any more they didnt treat me well.. I hear on here that the 4.6 is actually safe to run 30% since its one of those larger big blocks. So i plan to run 30% soon, but look around online. You dont always have to get a gallon. if you wanna just buy a quart i think its 15 bucks. but if you drive ALOT and need fuel often then gal would actually be cheaper in the long run.

Do you only like to buy your fuel at the shop or online also ?

That's not a bad idea buying it online, you should be able to get it way cheaper. The only downfall would be waiting for it to ship.

Running a less of a nitro percentage will give you colder temps while running but not in a good way. You would have have to do a complete retune to even get 1/2 your normal power that your used to.

Ill just stick with 20% then and I run alottttt but I don't mind waiting for fuel to ship just haven't found anywhere that is cheap

If you drive alot and a gal doesn't last you then youll save money if you just stick to buying gallons ... i think that quart after shipping is 19 bucks... that means by the time you go through 4 quarts ( 1 gal ) youll of spent over 76 dollars... what i would do is see if you can find any other local hobby shops and compare prices some are cheaper than others..

I always buy gallons and I only have one around here they have everything I could. Ever need but there a little expensive I get my parts on ebay. But fuel from lhs

You can get Torco race fuel here for $105 a case shipped, with no haz mat fees.

A lot of the heli guys run their heli blend and really like it, with no negatives I've read so far, and It's what I'll be running in the 600 heli next year. For those not familiar with Torco, they've been making 1:1 race fuel for years, especially drag race fuels, which coincidentally contain methanol and nitromethane, the same stuff your RC cars run on.
