I'm thinking about puting a novarossi .28 7port any ideas on what gear setup i should runim racing it 132ftto to 150ft

someone correct me if I'm wrong here but wouldnt it be better to use a really high RPM small block for faster acceleration like you would need for drag racing? IDK for sure but that would be my guess. I'm curious what others have to say about it also.

You had better have a bullet proof drivetrain in the Jato if you shoe horn a Nova .28 in it.
The .28 7 port has good rpms and massive torque, but for a jato in a 150 ft race a high rpm/mid torque engine would be sufficient.

Yep the Os18tz or picco .26 have enough torque to turn the highest revo gearing available. Both top out at 34k rpm i believe. The only bigblock engine worth trying is a picco.21 9 port. It hits the 40k range. Its also a $350 bumpstart only mill

how about a different idea. put more nitro in. i tried it but not sure how well it worked. before you do read up on nitro first.

I have a picco. 26 rd dot on it now with 24cb and a 52spur gear is this the right gearing? If not any suggestion ;also should i stick with a .8 pitch rather than a 1.0 pitch gear ratio
