What is the best way to keep a carb clean to keep it from getting gummed up? 90% of my start problems stem from a clogged carb and I want to ask what's the best way to maintain it so it stays clog free without having to take it off the engine and disassembling it?

Run your rc completely out of fuel each run.
If you sre going to store for long periods, I suppose you could pull the fuel lines off and blow everything out too.
No fuel, no gum. 👍

I was also thinking what if you added fuel stabilizer to the nitro fuel? I have a lot of small engines and that stuff works miracles for them to not get the carbs clogged. Do you think it would work for a nitro car?

I would not use anything other than an after run oil in your nitro.
Its not expensive and proven to work.😉

Running the rc dry is part of the fun. 👍😁
Pulling the fuel lines is a 5 min job at most and you'd only really need to do that if you're storing for long periods of time.

get a good filter and make sure you clean it

And oil it.

I would avoid additives. After run oil like said or 3in one oil. You say most of your problems are from a clogged carb...... is this carb plastic? It could warp or crack giving you problems too.

carb cleaner works good just whatch the seals

I pinch the line or run it out. If I’m storing for a while, I put some alcohol in the tank, disconnect the fuel in from the carb, then the muffler and blow the alcohol out of the tank. I take a small syringe and pump Krolls oil through the carb inlet.

If I plan setting it a while, I take the motor apart and clean in alcohol if I run top fuel through it. Then lube it up heavy with the kroll oil.

Maybe that’s not necessary but, I like knowing they are good instead of hoping. It’s extra work but, I take care of them. Treat your carb the same way and gummed up carbs will be a thing of the past. Just squirt the carb every so often to keep the seal playable on the outside too. It’ll be ready to fit no matter how long if you do this.
