What would the best tires be for a Slash on a track? It's a pretty hard packed dirt.

are you going be racing in a spec class? if so you need to run the stock tire. if not try the switch tire.

Most stock classes are allowing you to only use either the stock or the Pro Line Switch tires. The switch looks like a good general purpose track tire, it's at least wider than the stock and I think it would hook up pretty good on hard packed dirt.

A: Check with the race director to determine the rules around the class/classes you want to participate in.

- if its a spec type class then that will answer your question for you.

B: Ask the other racers what tire they are using.

We have an Outlaw SC class out here and any SC tire can be used. For hard packed clay/blue groove tracks, try the JC GooseBumps or the Proline BowTie M3.

For packed dirt or clay with dust/loose top layer (Our track) the Bowtie M2 is the best IMO, but the Goosebumps are favored by some and are working sweet on my DRT.

Okay, thanks everyone. I'm considering either the Goosebumps or the Switches.

I run my SC10 with Bowties, and once preped with simple green and buggy grip I can pull wheelies. Traction with these tires is off the hook compaired to all others I've tried

our track is a hard packed blue groove clay.

yeah if its really hard keep the stock but when i had goosebumps they worked fantastic on hard dirt tracks

has anyone tried these?

looking at running switches on my slash, we are aloud to run any tire in spec class. I'm running on a indoor carpet track, real small oval with jumps. would these tires hook up and handle well on the carpet.. if not which tire tire to you all reconmend.. for indoor carpet... theres another night set up for road course too.... i run both when i can... looking for input....

I'm about to switch my tires on the Blitz to the AKA Enduro's. I've heard a lot of good news about them and they are nicely priced.

Yes, WooDie. They are very good! Do NOT hesitate to get them. Probably the best tire out right now.

I am running the AKA Wishbones on the rear of my SC10 and they work wonders on our track. Put them on JConcept Rulux wheels.

Hard pack you can run alot of different tires i had the most luck with goose bumps you have to run new proline rims or j concept rims due to the fact the old will make you trackion roll get rid of the side flex with newer set of rims...

we are finding that the calibers-soft are working the best on "DRY" surfaces here, and we tried serval(goosebumps, enduros, bowties) and a couple more..
