Yep tower has free shipping right now plus money off coupons so it's a good deal plus tower is very reliable. I cringe when I think about just how much money I've spent at tower over the past year.

Build it yourself and use the money you save for a good radio. Nagengast is selling the kit for $319. If you need direction on how to go there, let me know. Ed, the owner, was there at the Dash & Bash last Sunday. He's the one who judged the concourse, remember?

Don't be affraid of the Kit. It's an easy build.
 
They also make good money with me, more than 1000$ in six months.:D

The kit comes with a motor? I can use JR Racing XR3i radio that i have for the storm. What would i need to get to make it compatible with the SS kit? The only draw back, my wife may wanna run the savage SS while i bash the storm and id be short a radio...still decideing which way to go on this one.

Well....my wife walked in as I was posting...and she wants a radio!! So the question is....Is the radio with the RTR a good one?

And, between the two...comparing trucks....Is there much difference between the KIT and RTR model???????

The kit comes with the .25 engine. All you have to do is add a radio and a high torque servo for the steering.

I think the radio that comes with the rtr kit is a 27 Mhz. Not the best, but get's the job done. I'd upgrade to at least a 75 mhz AM. The Futaba 2PL is going for $89 at my LHS. Another 75 mhz futaba is selling for $47.
