I have been looking for a pipe for my Savage X and the guy at the R/C shop is saying that the Hotbodies pipe is the best pipe for my truck and the power difference is unreal! ???ok Well I have read on here that guys suggest just the Chrome HPI pipe. I was told that if it doesn't say "Dual chamber" it's a waste of money. I don't see that the HPI Chrome pipe or purple pipe is dual chamber?? is it and it just doesn't say or what??

this is the pipe I am referring to: http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/86139.html

What pipe would you suggest I buy to soup this thing up a bit. Also if you could attach the part number that would be a big help as well

Cheers

i have ran the ripple, the cvec, and the polished. i like the polished best. the ripple and the polished both run simular but the ripple is a bit louder.

hot bodies and HPI are basicaly the same thing.

this is the one i have.

but it came with the hanger and everything

I think you just saved me 40$!
I was going to get the ribbed, but I think the Savage I bought off SMaxxin had a polished pipe..
not sure though, I'll have to check on it.

I'm sure at some point if I see a good deal on a ribbed I'll buy it for my
noise maker pipe!

But any ways
thanks for the info!!

So your saying the HPI (chrome) and HPI (purple) are both dual chamber pipes and perform about the same as the "hot bodies" and HPI Ribbed pipes??

I'm not sure if there single or dual, but hotbodies and hpi are the same thing.

the polishes, and the ripple (ribbed) pipes performed about the same for me, but the smooth one was a little quieter.

The pipe is purple but it's the same as the polished version, the only difference is the color....Save your money, IMO the one you have is the best out of the HPI/Hot bodies pipes.

Thanks! will do
I'm sure it will be plenty of noise with that pipe no need for ribbed!:)

I just ordered a HPI aluminum tuned pipe for my truck. This pipe is the standard pipe that comes on the Savage X 4.6 SS. Can someone confirm that this pipe will be better than the stock Savage X black plastic pipe and indeed is a dual chamber pipe.

cheers

The polished X SS pipe is dual chamber and its a good pipe. The HPI ribbed single chamber is also a good pipe. I have them both.

You will not see a huge difference between pipes.
