what do you all think is the best pipe,... or first performance upgrade for the saveage ss 4.6?

acceleration probably,... i'm not racing (yet),... just wanna go fast, and sound cool

TSAIS pro has a nice sound to it, also check out the CVEC and my current favorite is the OS T-2050. TSAIS is more high end, CVEC is adjustable for low-high and the OS is a midrange pipe.

Also look into THS, I haven't used them personally but I hear they perform better than stock.

You can also gear down to get increased acceleration. 3 speed mod would also be a good performance increase. I also like the werks clutch for better launches off the line.

I second the TSAIS pipe.. I recently did a pipe swap on a day of bashing.. I went from the ribbed pipe to the TSAIS and found that the motor had a lot of top end missing with the ribbed pipe.. The TSAIS had a slightly quieter sound but with a better tone to it.. Also noted that the ribbed did have more bottom end but it was in no way worth the loss of top end.. You would not be dissapointed with the TSAIS pipe..

I have the RB 9886 on my savage..i can't remember if its a low or top end pipe. But it sure sounds cool.

The stock polished dual chamber pipe that comes with the 4.6 kit is a very good pipe.

I'll third the TSAIS Pro. And I'll even vouch for the polished pipe that comes with the 4.6. Both work well. the TSAIS is a bit quieter but the both run well.

The 9886 pipe is a top end pipe, and is known to be loud as h3ll

lmao..actually its not that bad sound wise. Then again i havent ever paid attention to it. Thanks for the heads up about being top end.

get the Jammin jp-2 pipe. It is bigger so it helps with the volume of the engine. Most of the other pipes do not have enough volume.
