Anyone have any reccomendations? It's the Fantom .15 -F1018, the side exhaust, rotary carb.

I'm running an RB x-12 pipe with my fantom .12 rear exhaust rotary. it seems to work really well. they are quite expensive though, like 60-80. at my lhs they go for 95. i dont know how much you want to spend though.

i like my dynamite pipe. i had the fantom stainless steel before, it looks cool , but is heavy and doesn't let much gas through . get something that flows high. the fantom runs like crazy now with the dynamite

I run the TRAXXAS tuned pipe with my Fantom. Works just fine.

What were you running before the traxxas pipe? Was the difference noticable?

I recently got a Fantom 15 for my RS4 3ss.. I am using a RD Logics Pipe... I put the Stock pipe on also and notice a difference... I like the RDLogics pipes...

I was running the stock TRAXXAS pipe...POS. The difference was noticeable, but not amazingly so.

A pipe will give you a small performance boost. If you are looking for real noticeable gains in any one area (speed or torque), then gear the RC accordingly. Changing the clutch bell will give you a noticeable difference. Changing the spur gear will also give you a noticeable difference. Changing the clutch bell AND the spur gear will give you the most noticeable difference.

You could also get a port matched header or make one if you have a dremmel tool. That will help with the performance in a minor way.

BTW, what RC is this going on?

RC10GT....I'm running the stock GT pipe now, and it seems to be hindering my low end a bit. I'm just looking for something that will improve the low end, but not sacrifice the top.

The fantom I was running with my Maxx a while back was mated with the associated pipe. The fantom are high rpm engines known for top end, but mine was lacking on the low end, so I changed the clutch bell, and used the duratrax big tube header with the AE pipe. Gave it much more low end grunt. Sacrificed a little on the top end, but not too much.

yea, a lot of people i know run ths pipes, and they say they work VERY VERY well, but if you are working under a budget, the ths pipe and manifold is just not an option... they run around 90 bucks and up at least at my hobby shop... i suggest you getting a paris turbo ring tuned pipe, a very high quality aluminum tuned pipe, under 30 dollars on the net... i run that in my rs4 3, i saw a very noticable difference... acceleration was great :-D

Anyone here have a THS pipe on a Fantom? Is the THS really worth the extra money??
