Best one? Novarossi or jammin/picco .28 engines are insane in truggys or big block monster trucks. If you don't have the money for a high dollar nova i would get a picco .28 for $200 it will out run any LRP and any other big block throughout the 100 range.

OS .28 VZ, brutal! The GRP's are quick too.

So these Big Block motors, like the new HPI 5.9 arent that fast even though they seem to be huge!

Nope. A good race .21 engine will smoke it, and use 40% less fuel doing it!
If you want a good bumpstart only engine then the Trinity X-Tech's are awesome, as well as the GRP tuned .21 and .28, the OS .28.....
If you need a pulllstart or roto start engine the Picco .28 or the Novarossi 528 are the best options.

Most of the "big" BB engines are built for bashers. To get decent power out of the engine, they can either machine it better and make it out of better material to handle higher RPM's, or put a big fat piston in it to give it a lot of torque to carry higher gearing.

To prove that point, I came accross a recent XRC Mag article that noted it's highest 21 HP dyno pull to date with an LRP21 at 1.86hp and winding out to 43K RPM's with a peak of 81oz torque.

Considering the LRP28 S3 truggy (no pull start) was on the same dyno cranking out 1.87hp with 71oz of peak torque with a maxx RPM around 43K... kind of makes you wonder where LRP found that extra power/torque in the smaller engine.

Apparently the power is found in your wallet. Since the 21 will sell for $379 whereas the 28 sells for $175.

You can peruse this list and make your own judgment. It's XRC's list that they have done, but it's a bit dated, from 2006 I believe. The LRP21 isn't on it.

In the .28 range the Picco/Jammin is REALLY great value for money, but if you want INSANE power and money isn't an issue then the GRP tuned .28 will slaughter ALL.
If its .21 then I'm a HUGE Sirio fan for buggy and RC8T mills. The CL7B STI is a long stroke .21 that is really easy to tune, holds it very well and goes hard for a 3.5.

For a TRUCK if its a go-fast issue the GRP, LRP spec 3 or RB 928 would be great, if its an all terrain basher then a .30 or .32 are probably the go. (OS and Axial respectively)

What is the most powerful engine they make for truggy's or trucks?

dont listen to them i mean what they listed are good engines but the best is the O.S .21 speed that engine is a beast O.S is all you need

Speed is overpriced for what it is. I pull them all day long with my $200 Werks B5 and my $200 Alpha Plus. Yes the parts inside them are manufactured really really nicely....but for the price....I'll buy 2 $200 motors thanks...and enjoy every ounce of Speed that an OS Speed has to offer.

I know its not as good as a picco or O.S but i got a losi m26ss on my mgt and it rides wheelies all day. its got about 4 gallons through it and it starts like 2nd pull in the winter. in michigan it was a touch chille today, it almost got above 10 F. haha
