I have the axial .28 in mine and the thing friggin RIPS! But it sounds like the axial .32 may be more for you, and it's only like $250. The axial is a GREAT engine. I have not had any problems with mine nor have I heard of any problems with them... My shop has sold several of them as well. The .28 is supposed to be on par with the sirio .27 and the RB .28, which I believe is true. And the .32 is pretty much the same as the surefire .32.
But yea, on my axial, it's running pretty rich, I have all the shock spacers off, the rx batt. way up front, 49/18 gearing and the thing still wheelies like crazy...
