i ordered 2 sets of the rubber sealed and 2 sets of the yellow sealed ones...i'l let ya know yall know how they work.
 
Well..here is the DL on the Avid bearings:

They ROCK!
I had a run-away at full throttle and the held up! never had this happen with other bearings...and at a buck a piece you can't go wrong!

are metal shielded bearings what I will want to run on a clutch bell b/c they get hot??
also I am fairly sure that I am looking for a 5x10x4 bearing for a savage clutch bell, can anyone confirm or deny this?? never mind just an FYI this is the correct size
oh and what are flanged bearings?

I just toasted one in the clutch bell cause it feels like there is sand in it

it could be residue of the shoes
mixed with grease coming out the bearings
you better get the grease out before using the bearings....
 
well i think it had something to do with the fact that they were factory bearings, and that my flywheel was MAD slipping onthe drive shaft, so hopefully its all fixed now
