I was thinking of getting a brushless system once I get all the other stuff I wanted to buy... What is the best one (which one do you use)? I don't want to do any mods. Just want drop in and go capabilities.

I have the mamba 7200, or the second highest one, I think its called the comp package. Its pretty fast with a standard battery pack. Its a little faster then the reedy's which is what I was looking for. If anything id go for a mamba though. They seem to be the best, and have pretty good support. I'm waiting for novak to come out with there new mini brushless package though. It sounds like its going to be killer, will probally drop in my 2nd rc18mt. lol.

I'm not looking for insane speed. At most 50-60 mph. I still want to be able to drive it in the house. (yah, right lol) I'm going to need a set of new rubber tires no matter how I go since it came with foams (bought used). Thinking of a set of Bowties. At those speeds if this thing hits something it will explode, so I'm gonna do some aluminum upgrades too.

Thanks for the input :D

go with the mamba 6800. plenty powerful for the 18t and i think on sale right now on castle creations site. and yes, this is what i have installed on my mlst.

Yeah, Towers is the best way to go. I got mine on Ebay cheaper, but it is safer on Towers.

BTW: If you want one that's not too fast or slow, go for a 5400 or 6800.

I got it shortcutted on my desktop now. Can't wait for that month to get here! By that time I should have more than enough! :redbuggy:

There is one other thing to get if you get the Mamba. You should also consider getting the Castle Link to make programming the ESC easier. I also run the Mamba 6800 kv in both of my RC-18's and it drops right in.

I've got the mamba 8K in my Losi Mini T - Great motor and comes highly recommended!
