i am new to r/c an just started looking at some buggys for racing but saw some trucks getting big air an i want to know how well buggys can jump, and what i should get for bashing. i was told ofna hyper 7 pcr rtr was a good buggy for racing, which i still would like to do. is it good for bashing as well? or should i just get a monster truck for bashing?

Also, look at the XTM X-Terminator. If you want to race get the pro version or jus bash get the deluexe or the reg. which is what I have. They are very good buggies and I reccomend them to a new R/Cer.

Hell ya the PCR and the PBS are awsome for bashing.first hand i can say they will take a beating and drive away here is my PCR grabbin some air

Gs storm makes their buggies stricky for bashing.. they wil take the biggest hits...

I have a PCR and my brother has one too. They are great, I've but mine through hell and back, and I've only broken one part, it was a front lower arm. Thats not bad for a chassis with about 6-7 gallons through it. The only thing the PCR needs is a stronger steering servo, but besides that you have a buggy that can race and bash with out any worries.

GS makes good products, but I've heard people having a hard time getting parts. XTM makes good products too, but I've never seen one in action so I can't comment on it. I've seen mugen mbx4/5 in action and driven a few and they are great. Kyosho's are the same, but they are alot more money then a PCR. X-Ray makes a kick ass buggy also, but the last 3 are all kits, which means that you have to buy electronics, the engine, and tires. The total is going to be well over $1000 if you go that route!
