The other day when i was cleaning my Savage i noticed that on of my front shocks was bent so i took the shock off took the spring off and bent the post back with some pliers and the shock seems to have as much resistance as the good shocks now I'm just wondering if this will hold up or should i be ordering a replacement

Well, it will wear the seals more quickly if it isn't "straight", which will make it leak. Considering their cheap cost on ebay, I'd just order a complete pair or 4 to have on hand.

Do you think i should buy 8 aluminum ones or is there much differance ?

Well, I think the only aluminum ones I'd buy these days would be these:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUCP3&P=ML $90 for a set of 4.

If you don't feel like spending the dough on those, then I'd stick with stock plastic. They are typically pretty cheap. $15 shipped for a set of 4

The Big Bore's can be found on ebay as well and save you $10 or so vs Tower.

You may only need 4 big bore shocks... I'm not so sure if you can fit 8 of HPI's big bores on a normal savage. The clearance between the rear inside shocks and the pipe/fuel tank is pretty close.

If you want to go with aluminum shocks, but not big bores, then I can only recommend HPI's aluminum shocks. $100 for a set of 8.

Just steer clear of integy and Hot bodies (or GPM), I had the hot bodies (or GPM, can't remember) and they were complete junk.

i just ended up getting 4 plastic shock kit came to 12.00$ shipped god i love ebay. Now i am just hoping there easy to put together thanks for all ur guys advice
