Okay what will happen if I run my engine with a slightly bent crankshaft. I mean hardly bent, just bent enough to notice it is bent. The shaft isnt binding and it is only bent on the part that sticks out of the engine.
the cb isnt binding and the engine isnt making any funny noise.

thanks

I have a feeling it will throw the balance of the engine off quite a bit and ruin the main bearings and con-rod in a short while. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a 4 cycle, but wrapping out to 35K+ RPMS and that little bend is going to add a lot of vibration.

How did you bend it?

I think it is not worth it. Did you check the Main bearing? Is it worn? Was the backplate warped? I would not run it.

I hit a curb at WOT and the entire chassis bent causeing the flywheel to hit the chassis. at first I didnt think any thing was wrong then I was running my buggy cause I thought I finally got it back together after about 3 months. then I was watching the flywheel turn and it had a very slight wobble, The bearings are just fine.

New Crankshaft ohhh well it just never ends, I just wish I could catch a break.

Thanks guys
