Well, here I am eating crow... well, not really. I've had the savage all summer and so far I've only replaced one axle upright. Granted, I've replaced other stuff, but it wasn't because it was busted, just didn't like how it performed.

Anyway, here's what a 12-14 foot drop straight on a savage's nose does to tvp's:

Not to bad considering... I already have a set ordered on eBay, but I'm sure I can hammer the little bend out. It still drives fine, but I'm sure it's putting unnecessary torque on the receiver case and steering components. It does pull to the right a little bit though.

I did get over 6 hours of drive time this weekend. I did this in the last half hour of today. I burned through 3/4 gallon of fuel between yesterday and today.

ouch, well at least it was a high jump you bent them on LOL. Me and my frend were bashing last weekend and he bent his just like that.

that's kind of amusing Olds, correct if I'm wrong but was it you that mentioned you usually only run for 2 hours at a time cuz after that you start doing really stupid stuff.?.?.

Oh must I say this was a drop, for I was there to witness it, but the terrain was well worth it my Savage brothers.

LS and I were hittin the same jump, although he was cuttin her loose more than me. S#!@ happends but heck its worth it.

Your not wrong...

lol
not pickin, just thought I read that somewhere. At least yer havin fun. I might have the balls to winterize my truck, but haven't decided yet.

Yeah, I know. As I was watching it fall to the ground off of a pile of chewed up recycled blacktop that was 2 stories tall, I was thinking "Man, I should have gone home an hour ago!"... CRASH!!!!

Except now it's a savage!

I was running circles around guys there that had the Savage 21, Savage 25 and Savage SS.

Then 1 Bad Sti showed up... stupid XTM!

This was the first time I ever drove with more than one other guy. It was pretty fun. There were like 12 guys there that had about 14-15 trucks. Except they were all acting like it was more of a "social" gathering than a bashing gathering. Run a tank... talk for 20 minutes, run a tank, fix their maxx's for a half hour...

Maybe I'm just more of a loner?

such is the burden you must carry when driving a durable truck. common now, how many maxx's could keep driving after a 12-14 foot dropoff even if they did land it?

Corrado; It sounds like the trade you had working is finalized. So was my theory of the Savage "Special Something" true??

Mr T

Mr T. it wont be here till this comming weekend, ill let you know once i install my radio gear. "ahhh yeahhh"

Well... I was getting prepared for this weekend and I notice a crack on my engine mount plate. After taking it out of the chassis, I relized my engine plate was almost snapped intwo. Also broke one of the cross bars the engine plate bolts to. Good thing I have backups of these.

The motor mount has a couple hairline cracks in it, but not all the way through... Hope it makes it through this weekend since I don't have a backup of a motor mount.
