Well, here I am eating crow... well, not really. I've had the savage all summer and so far I've only replaced one axle upright. Granted, I've replaced other stuff, but it wasn't because it was busted, just didn't like how it performed.
Anyway, here's what a 12-14 foot drop straight on a savage's nose does to tvp's:
Not to bad considering... I already have a set ordered on eBay, but I'm sure I can hammer the little bend out. It still drives fine, but I'm sure it's putting unnecessary torque on the receiver case and steering components. It does pull to the right a little bit though.
I did get over 6 hours of drive time this weekend. I did this in the last half hour of today. I burned through 3/4 gallon of fuel between yesterday and today.
