Ok, sorry for posting twice today, but i have to get this thing here before Christmass ...

I Setelled on the Revo 3.3, I'v have read much about it and i think its a good all around Truck.

Anyways am Ordering from Tower Hobbies the following Parts, am i done?

(1)Traxxas Nitro Revo 3.3
(1)Tower Hobbies 6-Cell 7.2V 1500mAh Stick Standard NiCd
(1)Tower Hobbies 420 AC/DC 6-7 Cell Charger
(1)DuraTrax Kwik-Pit 250cc Fuel Bottle
(2) Hobbico After Run Engine Oil 2 oz

Is there anything else you would consider besides Fuel? is TowerHobbies a reliable resseler?

Thanks again Guys.

Tower Hobbies is one of the best.

You may want to get a few extra glow plugs. I would suggest the McCoy MC-59.

You should also get a NiMh stick pack instead on a NiCd. NiCd's develop a memory and NiMh's do not. Make sure the charger will charge NiMh if you do go that route.

Failsafe

Tempgun

Fuel

AA Batteries for your controller.

robmob .. conserning NiMh stick pack ... i couldnt locate one on the site.

Jon 2 ... thanks i added your recommendations.

Are their any "Usually" easy to break parts that could ruin my weekend?

Because this is my first Truck, i have nothing instock at home as to parts etc .. so incase somthing goes wrong i could wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.

I think the common things to break would be arms and the knuckles. RPM has thos but those are a chunk out of your pocket!!

I'd add the following:

Glow plug heater. Yes the Revo has an onboard unit, but a separate heater will prolong the batter life in the starter.

Extra spur gears. I'd order two or three to have on hand.

Extra wheel nuts.

Body clips.

Set of paddle tires and rims (you said you were going to run on sand, right?)

Extra set of air filter foams and air filter oil.

That should be enough to get you going!

Also, as has been mentioned, DO NOT RUSH THE BREAK-IN PROCESS! Enough cannot be said about taking your time, watching the DVD that comes with it and breaking it in correctly. If you rush the process, the engine will die on you!

Good luck! Enjoy the Revo!

As far as the batt gose I just boguth 2 of these from tower

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXERB5&P=ML

I also just got a revo 3.3 from them it is great just finished breaking it in runs like a top I got the 3000Mah and have used the easy start prolly 80 times and its still running strong ;) good luck with yours man great truck so far have about 1/2 gallon though it and love it!!

Thanks Guys ...

Jon2, am wondering if you mean by knuckles "TurnBuckles"?

He is talking about the axle carriers.

The RPM Arms and Carries are a common upgrade but are not required. You can get by just find with the stock stuff. However, since your parts availability is non-existent, you may want to consider picking a set of Arms and Knuckles up now as a back-up.

The Epic 3000mah NiMh that R/C Newbie recommends is perfect for your needs.

RPM Rear Arms. You will need 2 sets.
RPM Front Arms (Right).
RPM Front Arms (Left).
Axle Carriers. You will need 2 sets.

You could also just pick-up a set of stock arms as back-ups.

Be sure to post some pics when you get your Revo. I would like to see where you run.

If you want to drop a little extra cash, find yourself a nice little peak charger. They can usually be had for about $25 or less and will charge both the stick pack for the sleazy start and the receiver pack. Plus it will do it in a lot less time than the one that comes with the Revo. I highly recommend the RPM arms and axle carriers, added bonus is they have a lifetime warranty.

possibly a traxxas resonator pipe for a little more power.....and forward only conversion.....along with the rpm stuff should get u started pretty good....and decent pit box to hold all ur stuff....academy has nice tackle boxes cheap......
