Question bought some of these.
Been trying to find out best tools or tips for mounting tires on them.
I think I figured out that these are only compatible with stock UDR tires.
So I ordered some stock UDR tires yesterday.

Also do you simply rely on the Bead-lock rings to hold them together or should you also glue them in addition to the Bead-lock rings?

Am I seeing this right?
Inner bead is that much larger than the outer?
That's very weird....
Traxxas stated doing that on the slash. It gave it the scale looks outside but knuckles clearance inside.

@CC1999
I always screwd them on my crawlers. I never heard of adding glue.

No glue. The beadlocks should be more than enough to hold the tires in.

What makes you think they only work with OEM tires?

To install the tires, place the tires on the wheels and work them in your hands, gently squeezing them around the perimeter to get them to find their "free state". You don't want them pulled tighter in any one spot, so working them in your hands will allow the tire to move around to settle into the bead.

Then add a ring, and install the screws very loosely, in a criss-cross pattern. Get the front ring loosely screwed on, then start the rear. Go back and forth, tightening each screw a little at a time. If done right, eith that many screws on all 4 wheels, the screwing process should take you about 2.35 days 😆

Seriously though, the more slowly you work the screws in around the pattern, alternating from one side to the other, and from front bead to rear bead, the more balanced the tires will be on the rims.

:inpain: All those screws make my hands hurt!
Made a mistake buying SCX24 beadlocks with 15 little dog hair size screws each.
Never again.
I don't think I had arthritis in my hands before that!
Some of the newer SCX24 beadlock designs simply use 5 screws installed from the back of the wheel. Much easier to put together.

I found that in the product listing details after spending about an hour and rubbing my thumbs raw trying to mount two different tires I bought and had planned to use on them. Then discovered this version only works with the OEM tire in the details of the product.
I guess it is like this version is said to only work with the Pro-line Hyr-ax Tire 101063-00 Only

Those tabs slip into the inside slots in that special Pro-line tire.
