Hey guys,

How hot is the battery pack supposed to be after a run? I was running the TC4 last night and after the run the pack was warm, but one cell in particular was hot. Is this normal? Also... when should you stop running your car? Once you notice a performance drop, or once the car slows down completely? Thanks guys.

Tom

Run till you notice a decrease in performance but not till its doesn't go any more. You dont want to completely drain the batts while running.

Look at the "Package" for heat. Batteries, ESC, and the motor. Gearing will help in keeping everything cool. Next time you run, let us know what the temps on all 3 are and we can make some gearing recommendations.

What motor turn are you running and what size pinion?

If your using IB4200s 130 should be about as hot as you want them to get during peak while charging. If one cell is heating up more then the others you may have a bad cell. Keep an eye on them while charging to see.

Thanks Mr. Ed... I will temp the entire package next time I run and post. It is raining today so it may be a little while.

I am running the Velocity 4.5R with GTB ESC and a 17t 48 pitch RRP pinion.
