hey guys ,
gotta hopefully simple question ,i just got a good deal on a few 6cell 1200mah stick packs for my 18mt and i want ot convert 1 or 2 of them to a 7.2v mini-t pattern 4 bottom 2 top ,can someone please tell me (damn i feel stupid) how to solder the 2 top batteries in place when they are end to end please

Well, if you're lucky enough to have cells that have the tabs pre-soldered, it's as simple as soldering the + and - tabs on the 2 cells together and then just folding the tab so the batterys butt together nice. If no tabs, you could use a small battery bar. Hold the 2 batteries next to each other so that the + and - are next to each other. Solder the bar across the 2 terminals and then bend the bar so that the batteries are end to end. And if no bars, do the same with a small length of wire. That should do it. Then use some Shoe Goo to glue the batteries in your 4+2 configuration and tape or shrink wrap the pack.
