Any one ever had this happen to them, In the 25 + years I have been running elctric RC's I have never had a battery blow up on me and on top of that it happened while it was in the truck, Glad I got that new FLM Aluminum Chassis, it had enough force to bend the battery bar and blew the rest of the cell right off the pack and out of the truck, it was actully kind of cool, just glad it didn't happen why it was charging and I was sitting there working on some thing.. :whhooo:

So do you think they will warranty it? LOL!!!

Just charged as usual 4.2 amps on the Ice charger, put them in the truck went go turn around to hit the jump again and it kind felt like the batteries were low and then BOOOMMMB!!!!!

Dang man, I've never seen that... Personally, I've had batteries leak and hiss all over the place (finally got around to replacing the carpet in the front room from it), but never an outright explosion.... Crazy.

I had a guy at the flying filed I go to (try) to charge a 6 cell A123 pack at 20amps. Several of us advised against it. But he "Knows his stuff and that is the great thing about A123s" Yeah sure......He left them unattended and I saw smoke so I pulled them out of the plane and un-plugged them. About 15 seconds later they blew and sent copper ribbons across the field. Sucked for him but, at least they were not in the plane or I am sure it would have took it in half.

I charge all my batteries on my work desk/bench out in the garage, as far as I can tell every thing is ok just lots of black soot every where, took some nitro wash to the rig and got most of it off, hell even the fan on the esc was still running because on the Novak HV esc one battery runs the fan and servos and it wasn't the one that blew...will check every thing out tomorrow with my 7 cells and see if it all still works..

Damn!! Glad to know it didn't blow in to your face, dangerous stuff!!:whhooo:

Luckly the body contained the blast pretty well, because my neighbors 2 kids were watching me jump it and there like 3 and 7....

I cannot say that I have ever seen anything like that before! Glad that you came out of it okay and nobody got hurt. I bet it was cool to see though!

So was there any damage to the actual rig? Everything still functioning properly?

As far as I can tell every thing still works fine, all the damage looks to be cosmetic, which kind of sucks because my new FLM chassis now needs to be buffed out...
