I just bought a used Revo 3.3. When I tested it at the sellers house, it ran great.

I have the car at home, and the starter wont keep a charge long enough to start the engine. The servo battery does not keep a charge either.

The remote crontroler has bran new batteries, it probably is fine.

When I turn on the servo switch, a solid red light is lit. I never see a green light.

When I am charging either the servo batteries or the starter batteries, the charger always shows a solid green light as if both batteries have a full charge.

When I try to start the engine, the green motor light on the starter lights up, the light for the glow plug never turns green.

I leave both of them charging for at least 3 hours.

thoughts?

The servo charger is acutally charging a battery pack. And if you are using the stock charger I think the light comes on to say its charging. These things take more then a few hours to charge unless you have a special charger. My guess is that your not giving it enough time to charge.

as for the glow plug light, your glow plug might be dead. It happens.

I charged both the servo battery and the starter battery over night. When I turned on the servo switch the red light was lit. When I tried to turn the motor over, it turned for about 7 seconds and stopped. There is not juice available to turn the steering or the throddle.

Unfortunately I'm one of the fools who bought a lemon!

The charger that comes with traxxas trucks, is close to worth less. Your best be would be to get a good charger and make a charging jack. Also after 2 revo's, I have also learned that the stock charging switch that is on the bottom of the reciver box, is junk. Its a good idea to just cut it off, and bring the battery connection's out of the box and charge the battery directly. Its confusing to say but if you saw it, it would make sence. Ill get a pic in a few. But what i just said will cure any problems with mis-charging of the stock charger.

ok as for the light on the servo, it will not change colors unless the controller is on, mine just stays red as well until i flip the switch, i think you might of flooded your engine also, if the glow plug light is not on "learned the hard way" you will flood the engine. Do your self a favor, buy a couple of glow plugs"i went through two already on a brand new revo", snap the engine shut off clip, take the glow plug out and try to start it a couple of times if alot of fuel comes out its flooded. Then put a fresh glow plug in, make sure both lights are on and give it a whirl. hope this helps

ooo and the steering issue sound like you might just need a new chargable battery
