Ok I'm going to build a set of batteries for my TC3 andI never built my own like this before and was wondering what do you use to like glue them together, someone told me to use some shoegoo but I want it to look kinda nice and clean but also hold together too..... So any one have some pointers on this???

Shoegoo will work. when you glue them spread the shoegoo with your finger to smooth it out between the cells of the battery pack.

Ok i'll try it and see how it turns out, I'll try to post some pics as soon as I can.

Wait until the batteries are cool too. Otherwise the shoegoo (thats what I use too) will bubble.

What some guys do at the track is, after the bars are soldered on in the jig, is either shrink wrap the entire pack or tape it together by running a strip of tape around the middle with packaging tape. The kind with the fibers in the tape. Others just leave them. The bars in the chassis should lock them in place when cinched down in the tray.

A good battery bar, like a deans will allow you not to glue packs together.

I hope, if you did glue them that you used single cell shrink wrap on the cells. That way if you ever take them apart you destroy the wrap you put on, not the factory wrap.

I've never used glue, just single-cell wrap and full-pack wrap. A soldering jig is nice to have but with some popsicle sicks and tape to keep them straight you can do a good solder job.

Shrink wrap

How much does shrinkwrap cost cause i was charging my batters at like 3 amps and then there was a power surge a guess but when i can back to my charger i saw that it had been charging at 6 and it warped the wrap on the batery pack (i have a dyno fun 2000) pac and before i went to my hobby shop i wanted to know what it cost cause i hate using duct tape(looks messy). thanks
