I have just bought some new 7.2 batteries for my stater motor on mytraxxas t-maxx and jato. My old batts were about 7 years old and for an old battery powered rc car . Well they would not hold a charge for more than a few hours so I bought new ones. What I would like to know is how do I make a battery discharger so I can drain them all the way before recharging them. The guy at the LHS said you can make one with a light bulb and some other parts , but the book he said to use to get the info from was sold out , so can you help.

Thanks

Are they nicad batteries? If so, discharging is a good thing. If they are NiMh then you don't need to worry about it.
