i go threw batteries like crazy. 8 for the remote 4 for the vehicle = 12 batteries * 5 vehicles = 60 batteries. i need a battery charger that can charge more than 4 batteries at a time. can any 1 help me out. i tried to use the search method on here and couldnt find any good answers to my problem, please help!

Get a good peak charger and get a receiver pack for your r/c. Depending on the radio, it may or may not be able to accept a rechargeable pack. If it's not ready to accept a pack, it can be modified. Ask your LHS about the modification.

Dymond super turbo. About $100. I've had mine since they first came out about 3 years ago at $119. 10 programmable presets, NiCads and NiMh. 1 to 26 cells. Cycling, discharge/charge, or any combination. 12V input.

It will also trickle, peak cut off, and is available with optional temp probe.

Man that was so me when I first started out in this hobby not all that long ago. I used to go to Costco to get 50 packs of AA's for $10.99. It was amazing how fast the dead cells accumulated. Before I knew it I had a poop load of dead batteries. Well what I did was buy this charger from Radio Shack:

under $30 and it charges 8 at a time. Now you could get away with buying enough rechargeable AA's for now, then when more money comes buy a reciever pack and a peak charger. Here is a battery wholesale site I order from in Australia

Shipping was pricey so all in all the each cell cost me under $2 as I ordered 20+. You can charge them a couple thousand times and they last SO much longer than a AA's. Just know with the reciever pack if you use 4 1.2V batts you will only get 4.8V of juice which will work, but your servos will work faster and be stronger with a 6V pack. You can make your own pack, but I think you should get used to just using rechargeables first.

I would suggest doing a search on it. The hobby shop I special ordered it through is long out of business. I would try Horizon Hobbies first.
Just make note of the spelling.........DYMOND, not Diamond.

I just looked at it, and it says DYMOND Super Turbo Charger. There's only a serial number, not a stock number. About a year ago it got a very impressive write up in Model Airplane News.

I use this Powerizer one. It will recharge and discharge (Recondition) your batteries. I use their 2000mah batteries and run all day w/ no problems. They also have some hump packs that work awesome. So far, it has been the best deal I've come across.

I bought a ton of AA's in bulk off Fleabay a few months ago. 40 AA NiMh 2100Mah for $50. My CHarge only charges 4 at a time but once charged They hold a charge forever. I've run through about 12 tanks on my Savage and I'm still showing full charge on my radio. Usually the alkalines only lasted about 7-8 tanks and they were dead. If I can find a way to mount 5 of these suckers to my RadioBox I wont have to worry about my receiver batts either. Too bad they are only 1.2V but because they are 2100Mah you only have to charge them every once in a long while.

I recommend a peak charger also, it is much better for the batteries than a wall transformer charger. I like the Triton charger as it can also do li-poly batteries. I made several different charge cords for my transmitters, rx packs, car and plane batts, even my glow drivers. I got an 8 cell AA holder from radio shack and put a tamaya connector on it for peak charging loose AA's. Here is a good sorce for batteries and custom packs:

They make a custom pack for the cost of the cells plus $5. I just got a 2300 mah 8 cell AA pack from them for my JR plane tx for $17.00. That same pack would be $40 at my LHS.
