It had been a while since I put a little air under it so I made a little ramp and had some fun! It survived 15 minutes of almost non stop jumping then bye bye upper links LOL

AWESOME... I just got a wheelie king. I plan on having some bashing fun till it breaks, then turn her into a bit of a crawler, but the 27T doesn't give you much bashing power. I was going to slip a 15 T Dragon motor in it to give her a bit more, and if I can find steel tranny and diff gears, a high turn brushless.
What have you got in yours to make it bashable?

He built his own custom chassis, and this baby is DIALED when it comes to crawling. I couldn't believe how good this lil king was crawling. That's the who reason for me building an axial crawler, I had some time behind the wheel with this. I'm not sure if Pete and I are good for each other's RC addictions. He came up and helped with the track and we had a nice bashing session. When he left, I REALLY wanted a crawler, and he REALLY wants a baja 5b SS.

Yuo can find steel tranny gears on RC4WD but the diffs will be the first thing to go. The wheely king uses the same diffs as the HPI nitro mt so you can buy HD diff gears.

I'm running an old speed gems 17x1 motor geared 18/96 for bashing. I have a 55t motor with a 15 t pinion on it, and another set of springs for crawling so it's a quick and easy swap to go from crawler to basher.

Thanks. I'll check out those diffs. What about the chassis, or the ladder braces on the side. Have you seen those in alloy?

You can find those in aluminum too but they are factory specs. I'm running a homemade chassis and links with a longer wheel base.

I didn't realize how much work he's put into this thing, but it's one hell of a machine. I liked it so much, I considered doing a full on custom King to crawl with but finally decided on the AX-10. Smaxxin has done an excellent job with the weight distribution, because this thing balances and sidehills as good as my Axial if not better. And I've got the Low COG battery and servo tray, so it's fairly well balanced. Of course, Pete is a MUCH better driver than I am, so he could probably outclimb me if he were running a Jato.
