So the 3d printing community strongly believes Bambu might change to a subscription fee down the road for using their cloud services, remote monitoring, or MakerWorld integration. Just speculation I guess, but it's something they are noticing based on things Bambu is doing. But anybody that has a Bambu printer, you might want to check this out...

GamersNexus is hosting the aforementioned OrcaSlicer software that is being accused by Bambu of copywrite infringement, so you might want to preemptively grab it just in case. It's sad to see a company be such assholes in the 3d printing scene because the software side of things started as an open source environment, which is how 3d printing has evolved into what it is today.

If this stuff scares you, I would look at Flashforge, Prusa, or Ender.

You can't copyright infringe for open sourced software that is based off of the program Prusa made from Slic3r?

Man, the morons running Bambu are going to bring that entire crappy company down.

Yeah, they are trying. I don't have a Bambu, but they seem to print pretty good.

I was at a trades teacher conference where a local supply company had a booth. I couldn't believe the resolution of the printer they had setup. I don't know what model it was, but it was a Bamboo.

They had this Mario bust there, about 16" high.
It looked ready for retail. Required close to if not zero hand prep.

I couldn't believe it compared to when 3d printing started.

I was considering a Bamboo during their last big sale when they released new models.

I am okay paying someone to print for now. 😬

The printer @xjtorc has prints as nice as any FDM I've seen. But most of the newer klipper based printers are going to have similar quality, as long as everything is square and tight. His is an Elegioo Centauri Carbon I believe.

Yes sir. I haven't given it a workout in a while, but it really does poop out some incredible prints!

I'm very fond of my Bambu Lab P1S with two AMS units. It's my first enclosed 3D printer and it's been almost trouble free. I bought it so I could make multi-color prints and so I could print items in other materials than just PLA. A week later I bought a Troodon 2.0 Pro for larger prints. I also own a Prusa MK3.9 and a large scale resin printer.

If I had to rank the printers by print quality I'd say my P1S gives me my best quality prints, the Prusa second best, and the Troodon third. But all three printers give very nice results.

I also own a Prusa Mendel that I built in 2011. Wow, my Mendel is from the stone age, I let it up with a heated bed that has to run from its own power supply. I have a toggle switch on the printer to turn it on and off, no thermistor for temperature sensing. The Mendel still works and is pretty reliable, but I haven't used it in years.

Thanks for bringing this video.
I definitely grabbed the software and urge others too also. I own a Bamboo and will not buy another. Too bad this company is turning evil.
