I just rebuilt my brother's old Tamiya King Cab. Awesome machine, I forgot how well it was build and how well it WENT!

I have a problem though. The diff at the back is a ball diff, which I rebuilt carefully according to the instructions. Problem is I can't stop it slipping. I assume ball diffs are supposed to be 'limited slip', I think mine's slipping rather too much. When I hit the power to pull away it's pulling off like a nitro with a weak slipper clutch :p: The wheels aren't even turning when it gets stuck in the grass which is mighty annoying.

I did put a tiny bit of grease in it, but only a whisper. I guess that's gotten out and oiled the diff up. What do you guys suggest using for it? I think Tamiya gave out special diff grease with the original kit but that's long-gone as the truck is almost 15 years old. What do you guys recommend?

can't torque it down? In my 1/18 stuff i would just snug up the center bolt that connects both sides of the diff. the ones the thrust balls sit around.
