baja going crazy

i have just received my new baja , followed all instructions in booklet !!

when i turn on radio equipment the throttle and steering go crazy keep jumping about the red failsafe light is on ???
please help:\

1-check your battery and all the conections.
2-charge your battery when needed and also change your batteries in your transmiter...
3-make sure that your antenna isn't shortened.
4-make sure that there is nothing around you that may use same frequency as you do.
5-if that doesn't help contact HPI and if that doesn't help get a 2.4ghz radio...

done all of above,apart from contacting hpi

the red light is on ,on the failsafe wot does that mean
