I'm setting up to start painting a Baja body, and I seem to have 2 parts that I can't identify. If anyone has a Baja, could you take a pic of the body parts laid out? I can't start laying it out till I know where everything fits.
I can account for the nose, the main shell and the spoiler. The other 2 parts are slightly different, and I honestly don't have a clue where they go since I don't have the car here.

Ah yes the side skirts or grass catchers as I call them.... here is a picture of where they go. they are the bottom aft of the model

Ah HAH!.......Down and below. I kicked that idea around but it just struck me as something to get caught.
Well, that will surely enhance the look of a very special project that's in the works.
Thanks for the instant response, Joey.

I put a couple more pictures on there....If it is going to be like any other projects of yours I have seen it will be fabulous! Can't wait to see what you have cooked up!

I just came back from checking it out after your first pic. You are right on, that's it exactly.
I can't believe I never even saw the holes on the bottom of the main shell. I'm just not used to seeing lids with body parts underneath.

The basic suggestion was from the owner of the car.
This unusual paint job has really got me psyched.

Yeah I had to do a mock-up of it all just to see the layout because it is for sure not a standard body shell! That is why I just decided to go simple on the paint. (good excuse for no skills)

I did an all over base coat of Tamyia Fire clear coat, then Kyosho Calsonic Blue and a plain Tamiya gloss black. So no matter where in the paint it is, black or blue the metal flake base stays the same. In the sunlight it does a real nice rainbow affect. Not bad I guess. It was intended to be a basher body so I didn't want to put too much time in to something that can get broken. Thanks...it gets better over time....I may never be up to par with some of you on this forum....but as long as it works..... ;-)
