This is what I found tearing down my number two engine that I was starting to break in last Sunday.

I just send a mail to STS. They are usually good with waranty issues. This wasn't even broken in. I only had 2 tanks=4 heat cycles through it.
 
Holy cow thats pretty trippy. Did it make a funny noise or anything when it happend.

Nope warning signs or anything. It ran smoothe as silk. I'll be sending it to STS on monday. They'll rebuild it without questions.
 
They may get to keep me as a customer. All depending on how this turns out. I'm uploading a vid of my good sts in my 8ight. I'll post the link as soon as Putfile is ready.

I got a little footage shot by a friend before I ran out of fuel. Between the LST2 and the 8ight I got through 1.5L of nitro today.

That's the .21 Team engine. The other guy was running a OFNA Pirate with a Hyper .21 8port. It was so loud because the exhaust coupler kept falling off.
 
The green STS D21T is no longer available from STS.

There is an updated D21T, called the MKII. Its pretty much an engine that STS updated, but to Rick Brake's specs. I can get em if you want em!
 
Novarossi is having problems with that too... sleeve problems.

There are some rumors floating around with what causes this. Too many ports is one theory. makes sense, we dont see those 11 and 13 ports anymore lol.

Next is a exhaust system that is combined with a select few engines. I have no clue how itd cause it, but people are experiencing it.

The other, is that some italian mills are breaking right in half because the piston is snaggin a port.

What happened to the quality control that nova's were famous for?
