Well pretty much I found out that my con-rod died out after I was bashing yesterday... I was really looking forward to running it tomorrow. I can't get some pictures because my brother took my camera with him to Sacramento. So yeah, another $40 out of my pocket. I really imagined it would be cheaper to just buy an RTR Savage X... I've spent so much to get this thing running. Wheels and tires, new CVD ends, hardened clutch bell, and small bolts and screws with some thread lock and tire glue. That's about $200 total. That plus the $260 I spent for the Savage, comes to about $460. Man. I was gonna change the engine, but the Picco is a nice engine.

You have the same luck as me of late. First my 1/10th nickels and dimes me to death until I blew the mill. I got my Savage and had issues tuning it. Got it dialed in and finally running/shifting nice today, only to roll it on a jump and ripped the antenna in half. Hope things get better.

How 'bout you give me your Picco .26 Grrl? Lol. We have the same engines.
Edit: And you really have felt my pain Grrl! I was reading your cars thing in your profile and same thing happened to me.

I think the engine's con-rod snapped was because I hadn't adjusted my tranny for shifting, so the whole time it was going at high RPM's.

I'm also having trouble taking out the sleeve. That sleeve is so tight if I were to do the zip-tie method, the piston and the sleeve would chop it up like scissors...

yeh if one thing is wrong it effects and breaks other things...

because my engine was on loose it caused all sorts of problems and even broke my roto starter and they aint cheap ...

the engine had a hole in it when i bought it and the seller used wrong screws into the start back plate and so splitting it.. he even sold it to me with a broken engine mount... what gets me the most is that he promised me over the phone that his truck was in great condition ... i think i have spent about £250 on it so far, thats almost 500 bux.. and it still needs attention.. i love the engine but as for the savage and all the headaches and money it's cost me i'm kinda sick of it ..... i have a thing for revo's i may just get a revo and swop out the engines.... i'll have to see .....

edit to say .. the pic in ur profile is awesome.. got anymore?

Ouch, that sucks. I bought a Savage because it was suppose to be durable, but I've been spending a lot on it. That's what I get for buying one used =(.

About the picture. I can take more, but I don't have my camera right now. I took it in my front yard, I wanted to show everyone my new rims, but I used a setting that was really high, causing the image being so small so that it would at least fit onto the albums, but I guess I would've just used it as my profile picture.

After the first time i bought a nitro rc used, i NEVER did it again, always good to buy brand spanken new! lol
Sorry to hear that man

That's what I expected out of my Savage. Hopefully when I get my new engine (Or con-rod) and change all the settings it'll be bulletproof.

same crap but w/a t-maxx used. i just orderd .21 picco.i think once i quit slammin into poop my cost will drop.if you buy quality parts when you replace crap you should only replace it once.
