so i went around to the lhs's today in the different towns, i live about 20min. from 3 lhs's in other towns. anyway i went to one called r/c warehouse, the person their did not know jack, the only nitro they had their was a nitro stampede and then they had the nerve to try and sell me this nitro savage 21 that looked like it had been through hell and back for 330 dollars out the door. i mean parts of the head were busted off it even sat w/ a pimp lean. it was ridiculous.

that sucks, dont u hate that when u go into the hobby place and the people dont know anything? i had done that recently when i went to get some cvd's, the guy standing there said that they didnt have any of them, meanwhile i am staring right at them. and then he rang it up and it cost like $90 when they were only supposed to be $40.

well the thing that pissed me off is because i am new to this, and i dont know about most people but being ready to drop damn near 550 bucks to just get started is a big deal to me. the used one looked like it only really had body damage so i asked em if it was the 25 or 21 and he said, i dunno. then took it down, and told me i could look at it "it might say somewhere there on the motor", i dont know what the hell to look for. besides the head thing was all busted up anyway and the truck sat w/ a pimp lean. then he tried to get me to purchase it at that insane price for one as beat up as it was. basically, he acted like he didnt even care if i spent money or not. he wasn't an enthusiast, he was just a owner.

ya i hate that how some owners are, they dont care if u are new they will try to screw u over just for the money

I buy all my models from the internet, and replacement parts at LHS's if the prices are reasonable.

Yea I bet we all have LHS's like that. I have one and I call it
Jackass Hobbies LOL. When I was at the East Coast Bash we went to a local hobby shop that christian brought us too. Thats how a hobby shop should be run. They knew there stuff and prices were reasonable. You really don't mind spending a few bucks more for the convenience of running to the LHS, and get some free info to boot. But when they are there to rip you off or take advantage of someone that sucks.

Here is the great Hobby shop in Buffulo
