took a bad spill. Now my truck ideals really high carb is shut nice changed fuel line thought maybe had an air leak in it.Do you guys think it could be the head and i also checked the housing for cracks it has me going crazy help please

Well it is not your head beacuse if it was it wouldnt be a air leak goin into the engine it would be a compression leak leaving the engine which in return would make the engine run like poop or not run at all. First take you carb off of the mill take the air filter off and get a piece of fuel line bit it on the carb and plug up the 2 carb openings with your fingers. Submerge the carb in some water (still having you fingers over the holes) and blow into the fuel line and look for bubbles coming from the carb and if there is see where theyre coming from. If thats not it then replace both exhuast and fuel lines seal the backplate with carb sealer (should beable to get some at your LHS but if not tower has it) and also seal up the carb neck that should take care of any air leaks into the carb.

i started the engine the car wants to ripp out of my hands so i take it the head did not get damaged since it is not losing compresssion. okay everthing is good no leaks in gas tank going to change lines again to see if theres a diffrence wat can cause high ideal like that if the carb is closed its like a gave it full throttle

okay i sealed everthing up and now it running like a dime peace thanks for all the help guys

One More Problem Glow Plugs Keep Burning Out Don't Now Why? Need Help Again

USEING OS # 8 AND MCOYS 59 STILL BURING OUT

Are they completely burning out? Is the coil getting compressed up in the glow plug? Whats the plug look like after a couple tanks of fuel?

Normally, if the coil is misshapen after a couple tanks of fuel or if the coil element is gone in the plug, your running way to lean.

it looks like half the the glow plug light come to think of it it dose's look compressed anot even a full tank before it dies

Man, that is f'd up! Your temps are fine, your fuel is fine... everything is fine but your glowplugs are getting ate up. You didn't happen to take the head off the engine did you? If so, is there still a brass shim between the head (or head button) and the engine block? If that's not in there, or you didn't notice it falling off when you pulled the head (if you pulled the head), it will cause to high of compression which could do the same kind of things to your glow plug.

Maybe you cracked the block, but can't see it?

were can i buy the shims at i'll take the head off tommorow went throu 4 tanks and 10 glowplugs I'm broke for the nite need more money to buy glow plugs

okay no shims now i got troble my lhs doesn.t have them i hope i can find them let me search ebay thanks again guys

I did a quick search on tower for you and came up with this: Wasp 26 Head Shim
I think it's what you should have in there already... did you take the head off once and lose it or did the engine come without one? Maybe you can't see it on there... just a thought.

You might be able to use this search down the road... it's a search at tower for wasp 26: Wasp 26 Search
