hello there. I got an ftx carnage out my money and when I try to start it my backplate leaks fuel. If I need to to seal it, how do I do it what things do you need? My engine just won't start as well. Thanks

Where is it leaking? Around the seam for the backplate or is a pull-start and it's leaking around the pull-start shaft?

Well, you can try sealing the backplate, but if it's leaking around the starter shaft badly, you will need a new backplate, starter shaft and I'd suggest a new one way bearing. Using an old bearing on a new shaft can cause excess wear on the new shaft.

Oh ok thanks for the advise, I'm might just get a new engine.
