Well.....I finally decided to get the Savage SS.....all the online hobby shops that I occasionally order parts from (I try to support my local hobby shops as much as possible but none could get it yet) didn't have it ready to ship so I just backordered it from Tower Hobbies with the $25.00 discount code.

I haven't buit a "kit" in a long time so this should be sweet if I get it within the next 6 months....lol. I think I'm gonna love the Savage if I don't have to spend allot of time and money fixing "issues"!

BTW.....DOes anyone know how the .25 that comes with the savage SS kit compare to a OFNA .21 Hyper 8 port????

TIA

PEACE

Actually looked like the "force .25" with a different color head. I bought a Ofna ultra lx pro with one on it. Way too much power for that buggy. lol hit the gas and watch this thing do complete donuts, But seriously, it was very fast. The only suggestion I'm going to make ( and I'm going to do it also) is get the "rotostart" for it. if it is the "force 25" if you break it in with the pull start be prepared for bloody hands from the compression.

ya about the tower hobbies thing, i had found that they are a really good place for parts and are cheap. BUT, i bet that u will be waiting for more than 4 months to get ur savage ss. i had put in an order for a 2nd t-maxx about 8 months ago and i just got a e-mail yesturday saying that they are back in stock!!

The thing I am finding with most of the larger than .21 blocks out there is they get the hype for being bigger but more went into the development to make it than the research to give it balls.

.21 engines get all of the R&D because they are race engines. could you imagine a .25 or .26 with the same R&D put into it?

there is a guy at our track that does engine mods: www.ebmods.com

i bet he could port the .25 for me. ;)
